What you’ll be doing
Currently, we need volunteers at our food distribution center at 30 Northampton Street as well as at our distribution sites located in a variety of locations. You’ll be:
Recovering Food
Most of our food is donated and imperfect. We need to make sure that the food that ends up in the community is sorted and appropriate for consumption.
Preparing Food
We both maintain low-cost donation sites and partner with organizations to deliver recovered food. We need to build bags, boxes, and prepare variety depending on the destination.
Distributing Food
We distribute food through two typical mechanisms:
Permanent Kiosks: Transit-adjacent sites serving commuters with convenient, affordable access.
Pop-Ups, Community & School Sites: Flexible models that meet families where they are.
We need people to help us load, unload, and distribute food to the community at location.
